Poster Details!
- Max poster size is 3' high x 4' long.
- Posters can be put up any time starting Saturday after 7:30 am.
- The poster boards will be outside the lecture hall and your posters will stay up for the duration of the conference.
- We will provide push pins.
- There will be ample opportunity for folks to view the posters throughout the conference.
- We have more than 50 posters signed up for display!
- There will be a student poster competition with cash prizes.
Deadline for submission of abstracts for poster presentations: August 21, 2009.
All poster presentations for the Binghamton Geomorphology Symposium will appear for the duration of the conference just outside the presentation hall. We will have designated times during which we'd like the authors to stand with their posters in order to answer questions, have conversations, etc. We will have ample time for viewing before and after oral paper sessions, and during breaks.
Preparation of abstracts
- All abstracts must be submitted by e-mail after you have registered for the conference.
- Abstracts should be limited to a 250 word single page description of the research, including rationale, methods, and conclusions. Transmit your research results clearly and concisely. Do not include special formatting. Avoid jargon, acronyms, and reference to specific publications.
- All abstracts should be preceded by the name of the author(s) and affiliation, with the e-mail address for only the lead presenter.
- Include five key words at the end of the abstract.
- All abstracts submitted by the deadline will be included in the proceedings of the conference to be included in the registration packages.
- We will provide information on poster dimensions upon acceptance of the abstracts.

Student Poster Competition
A poster competition will be held for students with cash awards for first ($200), second ($150), and third ($100) place. To be eligible, students must register online for the symposium.
